The One With An Ill Maf

I'll start by apologising for this weeks notes...not only was I ill, but I couldn't get into Blogger for 90% of the show...Sheesh!!

Scopey Steve has an admirer! His offensive chatter has not put off Audrey, who left him a couple of messages on our Mychingo this week...stay tuned to see how it all turns out.

How can it be?! Someone tells us 'Drive' has been cancelled after only 4 episodes...c'mon people! what's going on over there (in US TV Land) We (Maf actually) have an extended rant about the mental capacity of American TV execs and the cancellation of Drive...Bastards! If you want to do your part in making me happy again, try and get Drive a full season here
 http://www.PetitionOnline.com/drivenow/
We also can't forgive the Heist (cancelled by NBC) debacle either.
Seriously, is there any listener out there who knows a TV exec that can explain this idiocy

Scopey is found moonlighting by Fluffy, who mailed us this site: http://www2.b3ta.com/hawking/

Lee has been taking this beard thing seriously by visiting www.goatee.org and getting some grooming hints...really more information about facial hair than any sane person needs.

The Commitments play Alton Towers

Lee saves £6000 by cancelling his double glazing and getting his neighbour to do it

The Snug Book- Submissions please....We're hoping to have it available by Christmas
requirements: cover art, something from each of our top live listeners, anything from Your Snug experience that you feel should be documented.
We'd like to aim for a 'Young Ones' book feel or the JCB song book

The One With Live365 problems

Scopey Steve offends everyone with his intro this week...but check out his audio version of the Snug Fans Blog...He obviously loves the fans as he's spent ages recreating the experience

We talk of Myspace and our new friends including Diablo Swing Orchestra
I imagine you'll hear a bit from them next show :)

Maf watches 12 monkeys again and still thinks it's not a confusing as everyone said it was (thickies!). We also mention Alton Towers and how cool a day Mafs nearest and dearest had last Friday

Lee shares a couple of gypsy con stories as told to him by his window cleaner and tell us to go to see his new YouTube Vid- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bF0QBNYnwXA
Keep listening in future shows for a possible baby prediction competition with mediocre prizes :)

Huntisms - Yes...I'm pimping my Life On Mars site again...it's nothing fancy...does just what it says on the tin!.

Maf had babies living with him this week so he's a bit tired...coupled with his split tooth (that he's finally booked in to get fixed on Saturday) it's a wonder he's not more grumpy!

and this week I also remember to mention that my sister, Sally, is running!!! for charity ... if you feel like it, Please sponsor her HERE :) Also sponsor loyal listener Fluffy HERE

Another One With Life on Mars

We get straight into the main talking point for this show... The final episode of Life on Mars.
Apologies in advance...we talk about it a lot and there's loads of spoilers. You're probably better off not listening to this show until after you've seen it if you remotely care about spoilers.

Here's a link to a cool blog that covers the final episode and also the proposed sequel, Ashes to Ashes. Lot's of cool info here:
Life On Mars Answers

Huntisms - This is a link to my highly visited Gene Hunt sound clip page.

We discuss the current state of Mafs Work, what went on over the Easter Weekend and Snugopoly.

We direct you to Flickr to see the pics from the 'Live Show' party and I forget to mention that my sister, Sally, is running!!! for charity ... if you feel like it, Please sponsor her HERE :)

The One With Life on Mars

Oh the choices...start the show on time...or watch a documentary about ladies with large breasts?!?! It was a close call...but we love our listeners...doh! Did anyone record it?

We start early with our Mychingo and the current feud between our Scopey Steve and the lame-ass, dyslexic 'speak n spell' Steve who keeps dissing him...

Then we move on to our favourite copper from 1973 - Gene Hunt and the utter joy that is the TV series Life on Mars. The Huntisms page is currently being rehabbed...so keep an eye out for more wit and wisdom soon

We appears to be overly obsessed with Webcams this show too...see, this is what happens when all our live listeners are good looking :)
