Pirate Dave guest hosts to cover Lees holiday and brings a piratey flavour to the show. With a hearty 'Avast!' and 'Ahoy!', we set sail on the comedy ship - even though we decided to use a plane metaphor on the show!
Is Jonathon Ross a closet Snug listener??? - Last Saturdays show on Radio 2 suggests somebody there is - First we get 'Start Wearing Purple' by Gogol Bordello and then chats about monkeys!!
My Pirate books have arrived...Pirate Dave looks on in envy as we run through a few phrases to use on International talk like a pirate day.
Well, it's in the can, I spoke to Jeff Daniels last night and can truly say he's a damn fine chap. What a nice man. I was 'quite nervous'
I did phone The Sun in the end...and the BBC. Who know what will happen next
We start talking about the 'Black Sun Swallows' (see below) and and up talking about The Goodies! The link? Bill Oddie. We never know where each Snug will lead us!
Competition
Gaijin A Go-Go let us have a copy of their new album to give away in our new cunningly titled competition 'Send us an email, you bastards!' - Just go to the Gaijin A Go-Go site and
tell us how much they are selling their new album (Go-Go Bootcamp) for.
All the correct answers will go in 'the hat' and we'll draw a winner in July.

SPARE THE ROD: After a 12-year-old girl in Elgin, Ill., told her mother that she had been molested by an older man, the woman took her daughter to see Daryl Bujak, the pastor of the First Missionary Baptist Church. The minister, the unnamed mother says, said the girl was lying and tried to get the girl to recant by beating her buttocks with a three- foot wooden stick, the mother says. The girl's beatings continued for several months until the mother finally decided she must be telling the truth and went to police. Investigators say DNA evidence proves the girl's allegations. Bujak has been charged with battery; Matthew E. Resh, 33, the alleged perpetrator, was charged with five counts of predatory criminal sexual assault. The mother says she went along with the beatings because Bujak was a "man of faith" and a former police officer. Bujak, who is still being backed by church members, wrote on the church's web site that the Bible is "pure, perfect, inerrant and infallible."
